Entry: Faisal Tehrani - Advencer Si Peniup Ney Thursday, July 14, 2005

Tajuk: Advencer Si Peniup Ney
Penulis: Faisal Tehrani
Harga : RM 19.00

This time, aku pilih buku ni.

excuse me...i'm sorry bcause i'm not so good in English.

Saya pun tk berapa faham ape isu sebenar sebab kita sedang berbicara mengenai novel karya faisal tehrani bukan?

saya amat mengagumi penulisan faisal tehrani.

I know what you mean, but sort of agreeing his works for evangelism, which left as not your indivual choice as you bragged about earlier. Thats an inconsistent rather make your opinion sound bigoted.

Jangan kerana nila setitik, habis susu sebelanga.

Don't think it that way just bcos of few ppl. No matter how they present Islam, the important part is how we ourself trying to be better Muslim. Ignore the bads, follow the goods. There is no use condemning others, pointing out their bad points.

Just leave them. Focus on how u ourself can be a good 'khalifah' in this world.

p/s: I wrote something abt this at my blog, do check it out.

I think the reason of disagreement is that, some of the writings are intentionally try to evangelize people by using the words from kitab. I feel to make sure people follow religion principle is by saying those kinda of things that if u do this, you are going to hell, less emphasizing how merciful and loving the god is. It feels, the writing breeds fear and eventually become hate speech - no wonder people still keep killing people for religion purpose. Moslem-Christians-Jews, now tell me, Isnt religion supposedly to gather people peacefully?

Just because they are kafir, is it our rights to condemn them? kill them? Same goes the application towards those major religions who support war and evangelism.

Ever realize or question, why these 3 religions have the similarities? Have you ever taken any world religion class? Philosophy? Origin of religions? Oh wait.. we believe (based on the kitab) not to use logic to interpret anythings or that we cant take those classess or read books from others because they are kafir and we are going to go to hell. Isn't that ironic?

On the other hand, when you admitted you support 'so called fundamentalist'. Do you support them or not? Because the usage of 'so called' implying inconsistency or a little disagreement or not fully agree with.

That is true when you mentioned you have no power to judge, but do you know most religion fans will kill me if i slightly believe in sarte, existenlism, objectivist and opposed the idea of divine rights of king? Yes, the religion fans will kill me, or to an extend, use the holy war as one of the force of coersion. Like i said, religion is left to an indivual, not a force of coersion. Gods do not choose people based on the religion, if he is loving, he will always be and for us to compete each other to yell that our religion is the most superior and pure compared to others ( same goes to jews and christians who are competing ) is rather over credeluous action.

I get kinda confused here. we r talking abt faisal tehrani right? And u r saying that he's a fundamentalist, right?

Well, that was ur opinion and I respect that. But in my humble opinion, what I see is 'hidayah' from Allah come in various form. Some through sermon, some maybe an incident, and there's some coming after reading books, when they gain some knowledge then something trigger inside them to embrace Islam and maybe practice to be a better Muslim.

That was why I support these so called fundamentalist. Sometimes the way they present is wrong, like u said, some r trying to prove their points without considering abt other ppl etc but there r ppl that can accept such things so I guess it's fine. There's always the freedom of speech after all.

In the end, it's up to the individual itself. We can ignore it or accept it. Or we can open up our mind and just read abt it, at least we know what they are thinking! :)

p/s: Why would I accused u of going to hell? I'm not the one who have the power to judge.

I dont condem religious people. But, I do despise people who use religion to reinfoce their personal selfish belief, because religion is a sensitive sentiment, it belongs to faith. I believe everyone has the will to worship god, for their own beliefs, but not in a way that try to create and to manipulate religion as one way to breed hate rather than embracing love and dignifying religion itself.

It is very shortsighted to say, that moral values among malaysians are almost intolerable because the 'westerns' have planted these so called 'social decandences'. Rather than pointing to them, US or UK, have you gone to Japan? China? HK? India or even Africa? This is not what most religious people say 'from barat'. It is that, the greater or the faster the socio-eco growth paralled to their education system, younger generations tend to think ahead and to re think and question some values that they have been taught during their childhood. But again, if i say more, you prolly gonna accuse me for being a sinner or gonna go to hell.

I just think its funny that for some reason these main religions on this world are competing each other for what they want to spread, 'whose religion owns the truth and whose own the superiorities'.

There is nothing writing about religion stuff, but I wonder and I condone such things where every main religions on this world, especially, teach us to be scared rather than embracing how merciful and loving the god is.

sometime, when people use this quotation from kitab or religion source are merely breeding hate speech, fear than just loving as what humans are born to be.

like I said, if the specific agenda in his works based solely on religion, I don't think the book serve as an equal message universally.

Sorry, for me, Fundamentalist mind works that he owns the absolute truth and everyone who is not under his wings are deceived by it and doom to hell. Thus, by kicking, screaming and re inforcing this views(evangelism; it reminds me duringa western colonization, in 16cth century where evangelism was profound) fundamentalists are like with rabies. They become crazy and lunatic and will try to infect others who are near them.

I believe religion is left to an indivual, rather than a force of coersion.

Indigo ,

Have u read the book yet? Btw, the book is there for ppl who want to read, if u don't like it, then ignore it. There is nothing wrong writing abt religion, infact, the author bringing a new concept in bringing teens today to be nearer to their religion, I admire him for this. Unlike other love novels which only made u ignore abt reality.

Of course, how can ppl with stronger religious value can help the world when everyday the world is condemning them (just like u did)? How can they help when no one trust them? No, when no one doesn't trust religion anymore.

At least when Faisal's write, he create some sort of awareness abt islamic values that was forgotten. And maybe out of his 100 readers, if only 1 get the 'hidayah', isn't that much more valuable?

this is kinda of writing better be categorized as an evangelism. Faisal, as fundamentalisy himself believe he holds the absolute truth while others who dont share the same truth or beliefs that he has are deceived by it and doom to hell. It is a bigoted attitude to judge or to say that others who do not share the same religious values like others are going to hell based on one's conservative views. Even worse, people who hold this believe will force in anyway, kick, scream, just to evangelize others for their indifferences values of religion and cultures.Fundamentalist, are like dogs with rabies, they become crazy and lunatic and have the desperate urges to infect others who near them. Finally, I dont give credits for people who view the whole world for one single point of view and use religious card in order to force their belief of system. Don't tell, until now, people who strongly value religious principle manage to solve bigger issue, such war and does religion helps by killing others?
